ZRCALO NOČI - THE MIRROR OF NIGHT , 30 MINUTES, 1987

Jože Ciuha is not only an excellent painter but seldom writer, designer of puppets or art director. We made portrait of his artistic world in Ljubljana, Paris and southadriatic island Šipan where he works. I selected his own thoughts from travel books he wrote as a young man experiencing Asia. Creativity strength of real artist arises from easiness to paint every new empty canvas with personal touch. Ciuha is author of many original paintings made on translucent plexi glass. The mastery to do paintings that way is opposite to classic way. To cover glass with colors you must begin with the tiniest detail to finish with background.

Many important architectural solutions shaped the outfit of modern cities and some urbanistic plans were executed wrong. The railway crossed the most beautiful city park in Ljubljana. SKRIVNOSTI SLOVENIJE - SECRETS OF SLOVENIA, 27 minutes, 2003

There is nothing secret and mysterious about Slovenia indeed except the fact of diversities you can find here. It is only an hour and half drive from ski resorts in Slovenian Alps to the Adriatic coast where you can take a swim. We had a slogan mybe ten years ago: small is beautiful. Anyhow more than 50 percents of country is covered with forrests, the capital is big enough that you won't get claustrophobic. It's a paradise for trekkers. I prefer in my homeland that it isnn't too crowded. You can take a 10 minutes walk through forrests in the surrounding of Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Kranj and many other lovely ancient cities. The food is mixture from traditional Slovenian dishes to McDonalds. We have a porridge named "žganci" that goes well with mushroom soup. Continental and international cuisine is available in all mayor towns. You 'll be surprised about good knowlege of English among Slovenes.

Secrets of Slovenia is not a propaganda short movie. My faithful cameramen are showing their best moments and my off text is educationally oriented. An information about Slovenia for busy people.
